• Upkeep and beautify the cemetery

PURPOSE OF MEMBERSHIP:

• For your loved ones that have gone on before you 
• New Wensley Cemetery will be your final resting place

MEMBERSHIP:

• Annual membership period is from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025
• Annual membership contribution is $35.00 per family *(see definition of family)
• New Members: Anyone can become a member for $35.00 during the period of June 1st to July 31st of each year. After July 31st, which is (August 1st thru May 31st,) the membership fee will be $70.00

NON-MEMBERSHIP:

• A fee of $750.00 will be required for non-membership burial/cremation in the cemetery. A headstone is required for a cremation burial. A proof of purchase is required before the ashes are deposited.

POLICY AND PROCEDURE:

• The funeral home must contact the secretary for membership information at (936)398-2054 or (936)328-0454
• The president or secretary must be contacted for burial information:

• The name, address and phone number of at least two family members must be submitted to the secretary before burial
• A liner (box) is required for all burials.
• Membership fee is non-transferrable. Members' name must be recorded in the records. Donations are recorded as donations, and are non-transferrable.
• All suggestions, comments, or complaints must be submitted in writing to:  New Wensley Cemetery, P. O. Box 145, Leggett, Texas 77350-0145 or by completing the comment section on the cemetery website.

*DEFINITION OF FAMILY: Father, Mother, Children (under the age of 18) unless enrolled in college up to age 25, or children with medical or handicapped disabilities living at home. Children that have their own families must be responsible for their family. This does not include uncles, aunts, grandparents, in-laws or cousins.
